Meet the founder
In 2008, Kelechi Miriam designed her own family home, bringing together her instinctive eye for colour, proportion, detail and style. The result drew admiration from her husband, friends and everyone who experienced the space. Soon, those same friends began asking her to create that feeling in their own homes. What began as a personal expression of beauty became Kendic.
Over the years, Kelechi developed a design philosophy rooted in a simple belief: beautiful spaces should feel authentic to the people who live in them. Her approach combines African authenticity with the principles of thoughtful design, balanced colour, craftsmanship and carefully considered detail. Her travels through Dubai, Turkey and the United States further shaped her understanding of how culture, craftsmanship and contemporary design can come together to create truly memorable spaces.
Kendic grew organically, project by project and largely through word of mouth. Since its founding, the company has completed more than 500 projects, transforming homes and spaces for families and clients across Nigeria.
Today, Kelechi's vision is bigger than the home where it all began. She wants to bring the same attention to beauty, balance and individuality that inspired Kendic's earliest clients to homes and spaces across the country. Her travels through Dubai, Turkey and the United States expanded that perspective, exposing her to different approaches to craftsmanship, colour, proportion and luxury.
But the goal was never to reproduce what she saw elsewhere. It was to learn from it, and bring those lessons home.
